Forgot to mention it was not just spaghetti, but "Spaghetti & Poker" night at Skye's. I'll keep this short. How's this for a bad beat?
Everybody folds before the flop and it's me and Phil (the short stack at this point). Phil goes all in, I call and we flip 'em. Me: King Jack - suited Phil: Queen 10 - off suit. It's Phil's deal so he burns one, counts three and flops a queen face up. Everyone's holding their breath and I'm still thinking I've got a good chance to take it. Then he spreads the cards and shows another queen and another 10! Yes! Yes! Full house on the flop! Das boat! Man! Everyone felt it, but even I couldn't be mad as it was just amazing to see. Other crazy hands came out through the night. Kings were winning. Fun stuff! The Phil was Ng, not Hellmuth if you were wondering. L8r Sk8r...

Monday morning brings gray light, the smell of coffee, and a close to the best weekend I've had in a long time. I ate spaghetti on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Friday was at Ye Olde Spaghetti Factory with Art, Ryan, Trina, and Mattos. Saturday was at Skye's house with mold-free Prego and nasubi and zucchini. Sunday was at my grandpa's house in Kailua at my uncle's behest. It's all good though, no? I mentioned this article from the Times which basically said sales of peanut butter and spaghetti are up, indicating a trend towards frugality. I eat peanut butter and spaghetti (usually not together) so that must mean I'm broke! (Which I am)
I am off to return some Redgard to Home Depot since the shower was waterproofed by Dean the tile guy using a different product. Links to pics in a bit. For those who can't wait: Click here. Not quite up to date but lots of "good stuff" and by good stuff I mean pictures of the renovation, not porn.
